The Big Horn County Historical Museum in Hardin, Montana is home to Will James’ log studio and two cabins that were moved in 2009 from what was James’ Rockin’ R Ranch. It is an ongoing project. The present website has nothing regarding the buildings or Will James, but a call to (406) 665-1671 may get you updated information. The Northern Nevada Museum in Elko, Nevada is home to an extensive permanent exhibit of Will James artwork and books donated by Don Frazier of Arizona. Elko is also home to the Western Folklife Center that hosts Cowboy Poetry each January. A short hop down I-80 and you arrive at the new California Trail Center with extensive exhibits and programs about the pioneer migration across Nevada.
